With great pleasure and excitement, we extend a warm welcome to you all to the 5th Congress of Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery (APTS 2024), hosted in the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand, on October 3-5, 2024.

Over the past decade, the APTS has been at the forefront of fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in thyroid surgery across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Moreover, the APTS stands as a testament to our shared commitment to advancing patient care, enhancing surgical techniques, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. As of February 2024, the active APTS membership has increased to more than 1430 from 49 countries. I sincerely thank all active and committee members for their dedication and contributions.

The APTS 2024 will be an invaluable platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging insights, and forging lasting friendships with fellow experts and enthusiasts. Let us seize this opportunity to engage in fruitful discussions, learn from each other's experiences, and collectively contribute to advancing thyroid surgery. As we convene for this monumental event, we not only celebrate the incredible advancements in thyroid surgery but also mark the joyous occasion of the 10th anniversary of the APTS.

Welcome Message of the Congress President

We are thrilled to extend our warm invitation to the 5th Congress of The Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery, in collaboration with the Annual Meeting of the Royal Collage of Otolaryngologists-Head and Neck Surgeons of Thailand, a gathering of leading experts, researchers, and practitioners in the field of thyroid surgery. This prestigious event promises to be a platform for knowledge exchange, collaborative discussions, innovative research and groundbreaking insights. The congress will be on 3-5 October 2024 with pre-congress workshop on 2 October 2024 at The Berkeley Hotel in theme: “Precision & Personalized Management”.

We aim at bringing together head and neck surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, and associated specialties in the field of thyroid surgery from Asia, and around the world to share and learn in a multidisciplinary focus. We have invited prominent experts and world-renowned speakers as well as national and international societies to participate in the academic sessions. The scientific program includes keynote lectures, symposiums, panel discussions and free paper presentation. A hands-on pre-congress cadaveric workshop on transoral thyroidectomy (TOETVA) is prepared. Besides the compelling scientific program, it is the best time to visit Thailand, you will enjoy the taste of authentic Thai food and our famous hospitality.
